This event is a collaboration led by the Madison International Trade Association (MITA) with the WI District Export Council (DEC) and Wisconsin International Credit Executives, bringing together Wisconsin exporters, service providers, and state and federal trade agencies.

        

The Wisconsin trade community comes together for Wisconsin World Trade Day to celebrate the vital role global commerce plays in Wisconsin’s economy, and to equip businesses with practical insights on unlocking new export opportunities and breaking into new markets.

The event features a keynote address from Jason Turner, Chief Investment Strategist for Great Lakes Advisors, a Wintrust Wealth Management company, offering a forward-looking perspective on global markets and highlighting factors impacting emerging export opportunities for Wisconsin companies seeking to expand internationally. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of where demand is growing, how global trends impact exports, and what this means for Wisconsin-made products and services.

The program will feature plenary sessions on how exporters can fast-track success opening overseas markets with key resources, and showcase real-life experiences and lessons learned from successful Wisconsin exporters, providing candid insights into challenges, strategies, and best practices for entering and succeeding in international markets.

The day continues with interactive breakout sessions focused on the practical “how-to” of exporting.  Diving into actionable steps for growing exports. Sessions will introduce the tools, programs, and resources available to support companies at every stage of their export journey.

Jason Turner, Wintrust Wealth Management’s Chief Investment Strategist for Great Lakes Advisors

Jason Turner chairs the firm’s investment committee, authors market and economic commentary, and regularly presents in the media and to professional conferences. He also leads the Multi-Asset Strategy investment team which is focused on creating risk-based portfolio solutions for both institutions and individuals.  The team has a significant expertise evaluating capital markets across the globe. He is also one of the first global recipients of the Yale School of Management- EDHEC Risk Institute, Certificate in Risk and Investment Management.
